The Clearview District's Wellness Committee was awarded a $500.00 grant with the help of the Lorain County Coordinated School Health Coalition in cooperation with Ohio Action for Healthy Kids. They used the money towards reproducing (painting) the new food guide pyramid adopted a couple of years ago in the Vincent cafeteria. Dianna Dane was the team leader for this project.
The “My Pyramid” mural was painted with the help of high school students; Kyle Webber, Matt Webb, Morgan McCartney, and Miss Dane in the Vincent cafeteria. It is a colorful, educational graphic that helps people to better understand the importance of eating from all of the food groups. It also incorporates the importance of being physically active as well. It is an excellent reminder for people of all ages. You can check more information out online at: http://www.mypyramid.gov/
