There is a presence in the high school office and here name is Farah. Farah Senquiz volunteered to be covered with plaster casting bandage that subsequently became a sculpture. The third period seniors were the artisans that put it all together. It took two weeks to make the piece. The model, Farah, had to wear old clothes, garbage bags, and be smeared with Vaseline before the plaster was applied. It was a real engineering feat!
Senior artist that labored were Dan Carabeiro, Jesse Cuevas, Matt Michalski, Jeremy Pearce, Jeremy Rider, Ashlee Royster, Sheila Toussaint, and Anthony Weber. It was a messy job, but it needed to be done.
Congratulations senior artists. The sculpture, based on the work of American Artist George Segal, will immortalize the spirit of third period for many years. Below are pictures of the work that was completed June 1, 2005:
