2005 Mock Crash

On May 4, 2005, Teen Institute and 4H sponsored a mock crash at Clearview High School. This program is designed to try to get students to think responsibly when driving. Every 15 minutes, a student was removed from the classroom which was to represent that in the United States, a teenager is killed every 15 minutes.

At the end of the day, students witnessed a "crash site" involving four of our own students. The driver of the vehicle supposedly had been drinking, and as a result, two students were hurt badly, and one was killed.

We would like to thank the Sheffield Township Fire and Rescue Squad, the Lorain County Sheriff's Department, Wyers Funeral Home, and Botamer Florist & More for their time and donations.
