Christmas 2004 brought about the opportunity for students to open their hearts for the fifth year in a row to help out families within the Clearview district that were facing financial hardships. The Adopt-a-Child program allows high school students to adopt a child from the district and buy a present for them. The names are furnished to Mrs. Molina from the districts Social Worker, Katherine Castro. The students are given only the first name and the age of the child. The gifts are then distributed by Mrs. Molina and some volunteers. This year each home was given a box of food that was donated by Mrs. Helber and student council.
The Adopt-a-Child program was able to bring presents to 150 students this year. The students always have such a wonderful time doing this and are able to experience the true meaning of Christmas which can only be experienced through the gift of giving.
Mrs. Molina would like to thank all that gave presents, helped wrap, delivered gifts, and the generous donation given by Mr. Parent. Thank you all so much. None of this would be possible without all of you. Happy New Year and God Bless!
